Whilst this commanding location at (538metres altitude) allows you maximum privacy, there are semi-distant neighbours below, so you never feel at all isolated. The area is predominantly agricultural, and various farmhouses are dotted about the landscape. The journey down from the property is just as pleasant, and finds you 10 minutes later back on an asphalt road, and another 5 minutes or so at shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars.

The historic and vibrant Málaga City, with its International Airport and High-Speed Train service, are a maximum 25 minutes by car, as are the beaches of the Costa del Sol.

The property comprises 2 main buildings which originally date back to the 19th century, and which were totally and sympathetically renovated and restored in a traditional style around 15 years ago. They both now offer modern facilities, are in excellent condition, and are continually maintained by the present owners with no expense spared.

The main house accommodation briefly comprises; Large covered porch/verandah with BBQ area, through into the large reception and dining room, with separate and cosy living room and lounge with log-burning stove. The guest house/casita is across from the main house, between which, is an ancient “era” or threshing circle. This spacious self-contained accommodation also has a large covered porch/verandah, which opens into a large open plan living space with traditional kitchen, a bathroom, and large double bedroom. This guest accommodation is also very private.

There isn’t presently a swimming pool, but there is a perfect location ready to install an above-ground pool adjacent to the main house. Outside also there is a lean-to garden room/glasshouse, and a good-sized garage for 2 cars. There is a long driveway with plenty of parking, and a gated entrance.

The houses are built centrally amongst the 5 adjoining parcelas of the property, and offer the best views down to Málaga Bay and up the coast, and across towards the Sierra Nevada to the east, and the Sierras of Mijas, the Guadalhorce Valley and across to the Sierra de Las Nieves and Ronda to the west. Antequera, El Torcal and El Chorro lie to the north, and an ancient Arab Watch-Tower sits above and within the property, and it is surreal to imagine being connected to history dating back as many as a thousand years or more.

The land is mostly planted with almonds and olives, and various other trees and shrubs indigenous to the area. The owners maintain the gardens around the houses very well, and they are abundantly colourful with a selection of wild and cultivated plants. Electricity is supplied by the National Grid, running water is from the properties private well. Drainage is a private septic tank, and fast internet is immediately available. TV is by satellite or internet.

This property would be perfect for permanent living, although it is not strictly a home just for holidays. More than anything, it offers tremendous potential for a B&B or guest house, or you could live in either of the houses and let the other. The income potential is enormous in the right hands, and we would be pleased to advise you on this.
